'Tis the Season
Well, today it is officially December, and officially the start of the most wonderful time if the year! I seriously love Christmas and everything about it. From the music, to the food, to parties, and all the pretty lights! It's just a feel-good time. People are more caring and willing to give. I like that.
This photo isn't very good quality, but I love it anyway. Temple square is the best when it is all lit up!
A friend of mine snuck this picture of me and my choir singing during the performance.. I'm on the right side, in the front row of girls in blue dresses, right in the middle. This is cadence--minus a couple who couldn't be there.
Anyway, to start of the Christmas season, I had the opportunity to perform in the Tabernacle on Temple Square with my choirs from Snow College. We were asked to be a part of this huge production called "A Celebration of Christ". People of all different faiths were able to set aside their differences and come together to celebrate our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ's, birth through the gift of music. The whole production was way awesome, even though the songs weren't perfectly put together at parts, and there were a couple of rough patches. We were able to perform with amazing musicians like BYU's Vocalpoint, the amazing violinist Jenny Oaks Baker, and Kevin Olusola from Pentatonix. It was truly a great experience to see all these people perform live and even perform with them!
It was so fun to see all my friends and spend time with them after not seeing them for a week. I truly feel very blessed to be involved with the music program at Snow College. I have the opportunity to study under some phenomenal professors, and work/learn alongside some of the most talented people I've ever met. I'm also grateful to be a part of Cadence. It's been an interesting ride... I definitely feel very inadequate at times, but everyone in that choir has been so kind and accepting, and I have made some great friendships:)
Well, those are my thoughts for the day. Thanks for reading!
And now, some pictures:

That's all! Au Revoir!
